Using both the sandcasting and lost wax casting techniques I can cast simple and complex shapes in different metals like bronze, brass and aluminum.

The size of objects I can cast is limited by the equipment I have at my disposal. Larger objects may be broken up into sections, cast individually and welded togeter.

Have a specific idea for a cast metal item but no model yet? Be it wooden models for sandcasting, or clay and wax models for more complex works, I can make models according to your wishes and take them through the entire casting process.

Bring in an original model in the material of your choice and I can make the silicone and plaster shell molds which are needed to make the wax models for casting 1:1 copies of the original pattern.

After casting comes the time-intensive cleanup step. Using hand- and power tools, sprues and casting defects are removed, sections welded if needed, surfaces textured or polished and finally a patina applied. Different Patina options are available.

With care and a love for old craftsmanship I can restore and repair a great deal of primarily metal objects. Be it fragile copper lantern or heavy forged gate, I repair damages and re-create any missing pieces.

Upon request I can also supply a written documentation for the work that I’ve done.

I’m trained in blacksmithing and can realise a variety of projects, from simplistic modern design to ornate historical builds.

I have experience in using the Chasing and Repoussé technique to fashion complex items from thin, flat sheetmetal. It’s a time-intensive and therefore expensive technique which is sadly slowly dying out.

In addition to creative and artful techniques, I can of course also make objects using standard techniques like welding, riveting and turning.

I also have equipment for woodworking, leatherworking and ceramics. Especially in combination with metal I can therefore help you with multi-material projects!
